- Bakersville Tree Lighting in front of the Historic Courthouse .
- Refreshments served by local businesses.
- Come help your Gouge Elementary student find his/her decoration prior to the lighting
- See new additions to the lighting around town.

Shop Local and Find GREAT Gifts, Décor for the Holiday
- Participating merchants will have a flyer on their entrance doors
- Enter drawings to win a beautiful gift from the merchants (Items will be placed on the Christmas ‘Neath the Roan Website and Facebook Pages)
- Drawings held every Wednesday and Saturday; winners will be announced on Christmas ‘Neath the Roan sites; your ticket stays in the drawing until your name is drawn.
Bakersville Area Christmas Parade – Saturday, December 2, 2023 6:00 pm
- Participating merchants will have a flyer on their entrance The “Real” Santa will be coming back to Bakersville
- Please Use the Registration Form to Enter; You will be sent a # for your location in the parade
- Line-Up Begins at 4 at Gouge Elementary
- Parade Begins at 6:00 pm.
Journey to the Manger – Saturday, December 9th and Sunday, December 10th,
5 PM – 8PM
Journey to the Manger will be bigger and better this year with music at each scene, and professional sound!
- Ten or more scenes along the journey will be portrayed by members of churches throughout Mitchell County.
- Scenes lead to the Manger and the Story of the Birth of Jesus.
- The Journey begins at the fire department side of the creek walk.
- Church buses will transport guests back to their cars.
- Purchasing starts Monday, November 27.
- Lighting is at Journey to The Manger, December 9 and 10 from 5 PM – 8 PM.
- Honor or Remember Someone Significant in Your life
- Luminaries are $5.00 each; They will be lit for the “Journey to the Manger.”
